Also, I slipped into Busch Gardens for a couple hours yesterday. It was open just for season pass holders, and I needed to get mine anyway. And I figured, hey, if it's just for people getting passes, it's not gonna be too crowded. Because Virginia residents get a better deal on them, and it's a bit out of the way, and there's been a cold snap. What tourist in their right mind would come out in the cold in the middle of March and try to fight off actual residents?
I forgot that the majority of tourists are not in their right mind.
Didn't get to meet The Co-Writer with the Bluest Liver for lunch or anything (laundry does that to you), but I got my pass, milled about a bit, rode DarKastle 2.0, and checked out some of the things she works on. Sadly, one of the puppets she has a fairly intimate relationship was busted (in a very minor way). It's fun when that happens.
'Hey, yeah, I'm in Ireland, on my way to ride some stuff, and by the way, it looks like Dooley's right eye isn't working. Unless he's supposed to be winking lasciviously at these poor small children.'
On a different topic, the revamped DarKastle is very cool. The sound is better, there aren't so many 'bad seats' as there were, and they've fixed up some of the scenes. I think it must actually have been freakier for me, having ridden it obsessively last season to the point of nearly having the dialogue memorised, and suddenly having it go completely left of what I'm expecting. Newbies already know they're gonna be completely screwed around ... I figured I knew what to expect. Much better, though. And they still have the breathing roasted pig in the dining room scene.
If you have been, get a towel.

So, this weekend I broke up with a telemarketer. I'd hung up on her, and a minute or so later she called back. She wanted to sell me very expensive ad space for my website. I explained to her that things just weren't working out, and she should really stop calling because there was nothing more to talk about. Also, it wasn't her, it was me. I was nice about it, though. I really think it's better for us both this way.
