So besides my usual Saturday cleaning, I've got two things on the agenda.

1. See Speed Racer.

2. Do Mother's Day dinner.

I should probably avoid the first like the plague, but for whatever reason I just can't help myself. I suppose it's that bullet-taking nature of mine. At any rate, people will hear what I think of it.

As for the other, the family and I had a miserable time going out on Mother's Day last year. Every place was crowded, and as it was families going out, there was at least one screaming baby at each table. One large group next to us was so freaking annoying that I was very close to getting up and leaving. So we're gonna try doing it today and hoping other families don't get the same idea.

SAM!!! We've all missed Sam, right?

Finally, in an effort to remember and acknowledge birthdays more ... a happy one to the Co-Writer with the Most Books, whom I cannot see today but very much wish I could.
