My bedroom was a mess.
I had -- get this -- too many clothes.
The thing is, when you live alone and have loving and caring family members ... they give you clothes. Lots and lots of clothes. Because there comes this sort of assumption that you don't buy yourself clothes. And while I don't like clothes-shopping, I will do it when I need to. And hell, somewhere in here I'm female and will be wandering through a department store looking for something else and decide, hey, I'd wear that.
I love T-shirts. Because my family tends to go cool places. And honestly, working at an Internet company where I can go casual, I can never have too many T-shirts. But sweaters, sweatshirts, things that just aren't my style ... I love that every other female in my family goes for the 'retail therapy thing,' that's great for them -- I do it, too, but mine generally takes me to Best Buy or EB or ... good Lord, Toys 'R' Us.
And clothes at Christmas and birthday ... are fine, I mean, sure. I'm past that 'Oh, man, CLOTHES?!?!?' age when it comes to family. But there was tons of stuff I'd never wear, tons of stuff I'd never get to ... so I did the Salvation Army thing last night.
God, they're gonna love me.
I'll admit that about a third of the clutter was my own fault, and I cleared that out at the same time. But now my bedroom is so ... clean. And I got a really good night's sleep for the first time in forever.
Well, there ya go.
If you have been, wow!

So I figured out what was giving me trouble sleeping.
