My Top o Nerae manga card came in!

That means so much to everyone here, I know.

Well, on my Kalibourne rant yesterday, I mentioned there's some rather silly maintenance going on in my neighbourhood. Unfortunately, part of it involves blocking off a long row of parking spaces. I've never actually had trouble finding a parking space in my own complex, but I had to loop three times last night before I came up with something.

Incidentally, Williamsburg residents, in addition to tourons, have parking rage. I finally found a spot, apparently someone wanted it, and I got horns and brights as I pulled in. The person then found a spot well up the road, slammed their door, and started walking towards me rather swiftly. Seeing as I'm one of those people who dances as exercise (please do not knock it 'til you've tried it, bitches), I at least have a fair enough amount of leg strength that I got to my door without finding out if he really was making a beeline for me as he seemed.

I wouldn't say my neighbourhood is dangerous. I've had people try to follow me home (and I've called the cops on 'em), but the only person who's ever followed me to my door was a rather desperate weekend warrior who saw that I was not married and kept asking if I wanted to go ice skating with him. The rest of the complex is taken up with reenactors, college kids who'd sooner pay rent than go through room lottery, and teens who think they're tough but step aside for me pretty damn quickly (I think they might've seen me going out in seerafuku or pirate garb and decided I'm not safe to be out). I'm not afraid of that.

But when someone wanted my parking space and didn't get it, damned if I don't run.

And yes, I know, I'm a mean bitch on this page. That's my fun for the day.
