Got an interesting and unexpected question earlier today, which is actually kinda flattering. Someone wrote and asked if Mayoi is based on a real singer. Answer? No. Totally my own creation. But I love the fact that she's realistic enough to some people that not only would they ask who she really is, but if she has any CDs available.

Ha, wonder if CDs 'by' Mayoi would sell ...
