'If you had been there with me, we would have looked at each other and slowly backed away.' by Kara

I've kicked off this year's Christmas gallery, which I hope everyone likes. 'Tis a picture a day up to and including Christmas itself. Just a little something for everyone who's fed my ego over the past year since I did my last gallery.

I'm rather fond of today's picture myself - it took me three tries, but I finally got a pose I like. I'm purposely doing more difficult arrangements of people because ... well ... I should. What's currently daunting me at the moment are overheadshots and bent legs from the front and back. Which is why, when it can be done, you'll probably see a lot of characters jumping about.

Monday starts a weird little experiment in story-ing that's probably gonna bite me in the arse. The few people I've discussed it with seem to think it's a good idea, but experimentation by way of the types of stories I do always seems to get a really really really good reaction (Magical Trucker Girls) or a really really really bad reaction (Fast-Forward, although granted, the camp that liked it liked it a lot). So I'm interested - as well as a little jittery - to see how this one goes over. It was not an easy one at all to write, I'll say that much. Hence its being less than average story length.

Also, tomorrow is a very exciting day for me: after living here for nearly a year, I've finally gotten my head out of my arse and my money taken care of, and will be getting a land line. The idea of having just the cell, like a few of my friends did, seemed rather a brilliant idea, until A. cell-phobic friends stopped calling, and B. my bill kinda went higher than I was willing to pay. Although I plan to get a new cell at some point. Still, including work, I've now got THREE phone numbers, so there'll be a bit of phone roulette goin' on.

This one's for the Adrian-haters, of whom there are many. But seriously, cut the dude a break. He did punch Hiru, after all.

POLL RESULTS - Christmas lights on houses?

OTHER: Various commentary about shooting them with pellet guns/egging houses with them/etc., someone having their stolen constantly (you might wanna ask those people with the pellet guns if they know anything ...), using them to get a tan, nostalgia for some kind of singing Christmas lights that I really don't remember, and some big word that doesn't turn up in either a Google or a dictionary search.
