Why am I glad?
Because work is where my fast computer is.
As I've mentioned elsewhere (on the 'box and in rants), Shibue has pretty much had it. I need a new desktop machine at home, because it takes a couple hours more a night than it should to get comics done. That's why Kalibourne has been going up at or around midnight of late.
ZJ is a fantastic little dude. For now, he has become my go-to for everything that isn't Photoshop-related. But I can't do comics on him. It isn't a memory thing (he's got plenty of that) or a mouse thing (I've got a wireless mouse for such occasions).
It's really just a matter of size. But isn't it always.
ZJ, you see, stands for 'Zagreus Jr.' The 'Junior' part went in automatically when I named him because that's what my mother calls hers of the same type -- her big pink laptop is now 'Senior.' But bless him, he's a little dude, and he can't help it. The littleness makes him ultra-portable, and also fantastic for just about anything else. But some things just take a big computer with a big screen. So I'm stuck with Shibue for just a little longer.
Two friends are getting me a new computer as a combined Christmas/birthday present. I'm sure it'll be great. Why?
It's gonna be equipped to run just as quick and with just as much memory as their computers. And they play WoW.
I have chills.
If you have been, very good!

Back to work today, and I'm glad.
