So I know I have international readers ... So happy 4th to my fellow Americans, and to the Brits ... not only do we have our own country, now we have Hugh Laurie. Ooh, we are so naughty.

On something a little more relevant, apparently FUNimation is going to be alongside Bandai as one of the Few Left Standing when all the upheaval in the US anime industry calms down. Check it out. Japan abandoned ADV and FUNi picked up the slack. Not only that, they've rescued about 20 old Geneon titles -- including some my friends and I actually care about.

Kara's got a DS, Guitar Hero, Assassin's Creed, and some sentai game. What next (excluding getting another system)?

First: Some old-school Nintendo games / Final Fantasy -- 12%
Second: Phoenix Wright -- 10%
Third: Super Robot Wars of any kind / That Japanese cheerleading game / Harvest Moon -- 7%

* 'Doki Doki Majo Shinpan: Um ... uh ... not sure where the Orthodox church stands on underage Japanese witch-touching so ... -5. And another -10 for making me find a link. Whether or not other readers will want to dock you points after seeing that, I don't know.

* 'Roller Ball Murder': -15. I have yet to find a DS game based on this and you got my little hopes up.

* 'PErsonally I reccomend The World Ends With You. Fun time battling evil creatures in Alternate Shibuya.': Yahtzee didn't seem happy with this, but he also tends to hate Japanese games. I think it looks vaguely interesting, so +10.

* 'Mario Kart DS, then post your friend code so we can race you.': Hmm. You know, it's a bit tempting, so a +5.

Correct Answer: In retrospect (since I hadn't actually known this would be an issue last week), I don't think I'll be able to buy new games for a bit. Which sucks, because those last two were really good suggestions. Once I have money to spare again, those'll be my first two grabs.
