So I got frustrated fighting in FFX and shut it off....what did I do then?

I watched an Episode of Space, "Above and Beyond" A truly under appreciated sci fi series that never made it past the first season...and just when it was getting good, it got canceled.

And , after that I pluged in an old game...

Zelda.

Not an N64 one.....the old SNES a 'Link to the Past' one. Yeah it's old...so what?

They just don't make games like this anymore. Seriously. They can be pretty graphicaly like The Modern Final Fantasy series, they can rock your world in terms of realism like TT and Gran Turismo, they can even have the story and compelling characters like in Shadow of the Colossus. But they just don't make gameplay like this anymore. Something you can pick up and play anytime, themes you don't get tired of hearing. I mean comon'...name me one true gamer who doesn't know the Maro Bros. or Zelda themes? They just had an addictiveness that we couldn't stop playing them for hours. Over the years I've learned to moderate my playtime...even spend time reading books or doing other things. Back then though these were my 14 year old life.

No wonder the whole damn library will be available for download on the 'WII'...ugh...don't get me started on THAT debacle!

And saying that I realised how frickin old I realy am....Go'night!

I knew I shouldn't have tried to go in to work today. Gonna need to get someone to drive me home. But possibly to Best Buy first.

Well, while I'm still upright, here's the outline of Reika-ness I promised. When doing up her character design we pulled from two characters. Thus:

Ryuuzaki Reika: a.k.a. Ochoufujin, from Ace wo Nerae! -- all about tennis.

Amano Kazumi: (on the right, if you can't tell). From Gunbuster, also called Top wo Nerae! ... which is based on the aforementioned show. Hence, Kazumi is based on Reika, and Amano Reika (physically) is based on both of them. Wrap your head around that.

Also, possibly unintentionally, we got a bit of Izumi from Princess Nine going on.

And yes, as a few people have noted rather excitedly, you do get to see Reika again. For one panel. She's still at the tourney. Believe it or not, not much time has passed in the great scheme of things. Don't worry, she's a main character. She'll come back. After awhile. At some point. She's got quite the fan club for someone we've only seen twice so far.

Now to find a way to get home. If you have been, turn out the lights.
