'He'll like it. It's all about how awesome his penis is!' by Kara
I'm doing better than I was when last we met, gentle reader, that's for certain. It's taking some time, and it's hard to see Noriko not in her cage (and Jung-Freud and Kimiko trying very hard to find her), but I'm not quite as angry as I was about the whole thing -- especially the suddenness of it.
But I appreciate all the well-wishes and sympathy, as I've said elsewhere, and I'm easing through it a bit better than I was.
But that's okay, I've got other stuff to be pissed about in the meantime.
I'm not going to go into every flaw in it because I don't have time. But here's a sampling:
1. Misquote on 'rape whistle.' That was a joke (because we did discover earlier that one of our options happened to be a rape whistle). We went on to explain that it was a joke and to explain that we used a regular whistle to summon all the maids to the front of the cafe for photos, introductions, or to deprive customers of their maids if one person breaks the rules and thus turn everyone else against said rule-breaker. But ... rape whistle?
2. Barely mentioning Relay for Life ... you know, the charity and all. Also not mentioning that one of our maids is a cancer survivor.
3. Not mentioning the increased business for the hotel.
4. General derogatory talk: 'this just in, delusional fans waitress for other delusional fans.' And the description has already got bloggers rattling on about the sexist nature of the cafe. Partly because the reporter didn't mention that we also had butlers.
I'm about to rage, so I'm shutting up. Suffice to say the Washington Post is already getting angry letters, and I really hope they get too many to deal with.
If you have been, dokun~

First and foremost today, it is Co-Writer's birthday. It is Co-Writer's birthday, and he is spending it in Japan. Grr. He's having a helluva (good) time, probably not allowing himself to be run into the ground. Then again, Japan has a lot less ... well ... England than England does. That said, his trip is making me want to a) go to Japan as well, and b) go back to England now that I've done the essentials and can take my time.
