'Yoko, I want to pierce your heavens ...' by Kara
Nope.
And not because it's one of my top three fave musicals now.
Pretty much everything of the Pythons is very self-aware. Their movies know they're movies, their TV shows know they're TV shows, their games know they're games, their snozzberries know they're snozzberries ...
Where was I.
Anyway, when the show was on Broadway, it was tailored to Broadway (no spoilers ... how can there be? but I'm sure someone would call me on it). At the West End, it was tailored to London. It involved some new lyrics and changing some jokes. Now, the show has to remember that it's on tour in a different city every couple days, much like the original movie had to realise that it was a stage musical now. And in the same way, you simply couldn't remake Spamalot into a film.
So I will be fascinated to see the differences. And while I will always remember Peter Davison as being a freaking awesome Arthur, I'm going to enjoy someone I have no preconceptions about giving it a go. (Honestly, I could never be on a tour for that exact reason -- I imagine it can't be fun being expected to follow The Big Star.)
If you have been, AAAAAAAUGH...

Was rather kindly given a ticket to the local tour stop of Spamalot tonight. 'But Kara,' I hear you cry, 'didn't you already see it in London? Doesn't that sort of spoil any other viewings for you with it's awesomeness?'
