LITERALLY.
Fail.
I don't know whether to be frightened or impressed.
Otakon recovery is essentially complete, thank God. Took me long enough. But I actually seem to be back on my game. Took care of a bunch more commissions that've been sitting around. So if you haven't heard from me ... you will. And hopefully you won't be disappointed.
Nearly done with a little show called Future GPX Cyber Formula, which I've had for a while but forgotten about. I do enjoy it quite a bit, although it looked like one I'd like, so I wasn't too worried.
And now, the big thing that literally just happened ... I've put in a bid on a 240SX. Yeah. It's within my price range (well, with a bit of help, paying bits back every month), and if I hadn't dropped the money here and now I woulda gotten cold feet. It's been an issue with all the medical bills, but if this one really does indeed stay below my maximum bid, it was Meant To Be.
Although I shouldn't talk like I have it. I'm currently the high bidder at $760 (yes, you heard me), but there's time left, and on something that cheap that's that good ... people are gonna jump me bad. Fingers crossed, but yeah ... not getting my hopes up. Especially not with less than an hour left.
If you have been ... eeeeh ...
Last weekend was spent cleaning (dishes, entire rooms, vehicles...you name it) and practicing my form with Tikki. I also managed to squeeze some movies (an alien double header, a good alien/bad alien combo of ID4 and Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind)and some video game time in there (Ace Combat 6 with the flight stick...it's sooo shweet!). So even on my weekend of relaxation I manage to do more work than I do in a day at my paid job. Figure that out.
The weekend before that was a trip to Pittsburgh to see an amazing metal concert featuring none other than Testament, Motorhead, Heaven and Hell and JUDAS PRIEST! Let me tell you, Dio and Halford have lost none of their amazing voices even thought they are nigh on 60 years old now. Then we drove the 5 1/2 hours back home...gluttons for punishment we are.
The weekend before that was the JAM Project concert. As kara said, words can't convey how amazing that show was. As my friend Big Dave Z said, "that's one more thing to check off that 'to do before I die' list"
Amen to that bruddah.
Next month will be busy in the video game department, with both Rock Band 2 and Super Robot Taisen Z coming out.....where will my money/time go?
I need to invent the 40 hour day.....
So now I'll have people coming over for Labor day this weekend. It'll be the usual insane household for a few days, and then it'll be back to work as usual. Somehow I wonder how I manage not to collapse. Tonight I'll go to class and hopefully get my stripe for my form, but I'll need to do a last minute crash course on the last few moves if I wanna have a shot. Still having trouble with some of those. Me and my Bloody stances.
Perhaps I'll go to bed early after that...
...who am I kidding. I'll end up staying up till 11:30 or midnight watching House or something, trying desperately to reduce the enormous pile of stuff to watch in front of the right speaker in my entertainment center.
Resistance of sleeep is...ZZzzzzzzz.

Sorry, it's been a while since I last posted...but that's because it's been a rather busy last few weeks.
