"Something gave me a SEVERE alergic reaction yesterday...maybe it was the elephants..." by Rob
He got it inspected yesterday and it still needs a few things. But to give you an idea of how much work I did here's a short list of what I can remember....
New Headlights
Oil and filter change
New IAC motor
New washer nozzles
New wiper blades
Cleaned and painted old washer blade arms
New front pads
New rear pads
New rear calipers *BITCH*
Swapped rear tail-light assemblies with newer cooler looking ones *drilling required*
New battery
New battery terminals and cables
Cleaned KNN air filter
Created bracing bracket for said filter *from scratch*
New plugs
New wires
New rotor and rotor cap.
Swapped engine intake grill for newer cooler one.
Now on the subject of what's still gonna be done.
Front rotors *apparently they're out of spec, I thought so*
Rear struts *worn out*
Exhaust gasket for manifold *none was put in, so it leaks*
New wiper motor *easy*
Put in Oil pressure sensor *tis' behind the AC compressor, thus a multi hour job.*
Gasket for valve covers *leaks a bit*
So there's still some to do...but not as much as has been done.
I'm just glad now I can get Galeon in the garage to change the rear tire. That will be finished off this weekend...the tire I mean *rubs hands evily*
Don't worry...I'll tape it for all of you.
Resistance is FUTILE!!!
Neo-Vader III
Now, for those who don't know the show, the main character, Negi Springfield, is Welsh (because that's such a Welsh name). By default, his dad is also Welsh. Additionally, the little vampire girl (Evangeline A.K. McDowell) and her little robot girl (Chachamaru) are either British or Welsh ... I really can't be bothered to remember which.
The dub cast needs to be locked in a room with the cast of Torchwood.
For one thing, they need to learn the subtleties of acting in a blatantly moe show.
For another, THEY NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DO A FUCKING WELSH ACCENT.
Actually, I'd settle for even Negi and the Thousand Master being able to do a run-of-the-mill English accent. For yer typical viewing audience, that's close enough. But affecting does not equal English. I dunno, for yer typical dub viewing audience I have no idea. Maybe that's too much work to put into an anime dub, but in all honesty I had to switch it off pretty freaking quick.
*sigh* There's a reason there are seiyuu schools in Japan.
If you have been, WHAT?!?

Well, The little MR2 has left the nest...and I'm sad to see it go. We made the hour and a half trip back to JRs to drop his Prius off, yes I got to drive the MR2...no way I'd drive the Prius. And then we came back here.

So, my g'rents now have ten billion channels, which I go over and abuse when I can. Among these channels is Funimation. When I got there to snarf their food (and then do their dishes) yesterday, Fruits Basket was just going off and Negima was just coming on. Now, despite the fact that it's new and a harem show that exploits every fetish ever in the history of history, I sort of like it. I prefer the OVA simply because the animation is fantastic, but the original isn't too bad.
