Ooh, people think I was disgruntled re: this week's poll? You should see some of the write-ins ... although I may not put some of them up because, erm, they're not creative.

Do you like the Harry Potter series?

First: Meh. -- 12%
Second: Just the books / Only hate one or two / Used to, but they suck now / Never bothered to get into them / Insulting JKR comment -- 5%
Third: Just the movies -- 2%

Uncreativity Penalty: Uuuwaaaaow. There were some serious snarks from people who liked the books and the movies. That's not why I'm docking you -50, though -- I'm docking you that for being a bigger jerk about me not liking them than I was. And that's an accomplishment, even for the people snarky enough to read my comic. (Ain't internet anonymity keen?)

Oh, yeah. Just a little -1 ping to anyone who tried to make 'potter' into a joke about a ceramic artist. Nice try, but you were one of many.

Points

* 'The first couple books weren't bad, but the rest sucked. And the movies are awful.': +5 agreement.

* 'I will never read the final book to keep the hope that it will get a proper ending alive in my heart': +25 for common sense. And I'm not going to tell you the ending ... not because I think there are 'spoilers' anymore, but because really I just can't bear to say it.

* 'Rowling's getting kids weaned off the boob tube with a seven-part tale that turns adult-ish at the end. I prefer the books to the movies but like both.': +10 for general merit.

* 'I like almost all of the movies and books! Heptlibris Retconium!': Wow. +50 for (well-informed) pidgin Latin.

* 'I liked the series until a few chapters into the 6th book, at which point I threw it across the room from my not being able to handle Harry's unbearable high level of emo-ness. I haven't touched the books since.': I would dock you for causing injury to a book, but as I chucked the last three into walls myself, I give you +10 sympathy points.
