'I thought it was gonna be Death Note!!! But then, oh, it's just some stupid Star Wars thing.' by Kara
Went to karaoke, sang a bit. Partied a bit. Helped with Iron Artist. Helped with cosplay. Partied a bit more. Utterly failed to attend the dance because I'd been strobed and noised already over the course of the night, and (much to my own embarrassment) I was far more paranoid than usual about possible extended strobing and noising. Sorely ashamed am I, as I've promised myself I'd go whenever I can just to see if I could.
I asked this last year somewhere else, but never found out ... why are strobes so awesome? Even people who don't actually have medical problems with them have told me they get headaches. The dance is one thing, sure. Crazy lights there, loud noise
Were I not as lazy and desirous of sort of not getting involved in shit, I'd say something to that extent. But I am curious as to how many people get pissed off by them versus how many think they're the best thing since spice racks.
Finally, despite the fact that I was on my own lugging luggage and having people expect me to catch doors and the like, my wrist is almost completely healed. With my brace on, I can draw and type (although no sewing for a few days!!!), so thank God. I've really been worried about it. It still hurts some, though, so I'll be seeing a doctor about it sometime this week.
If you have been, you suck.

Hurrah for Katsucon. It was good this year. And now it'll go on my pile with other con reports that need doing.
and probably half the teenage Death Note fans are stoned. But when you're just sitting and it's already dark and it's totally random ... I honestly haven't talked to one person who hasn't said, 'You know, they even bother me.'
