So last night I went and recorded for From the Sea to the Sky, which I think I mentioned before. If I didn't or people don't remember, it's an historical/educational puppet shows about the history of the Virginia peninsula, starting with the American Indians and ending with (I think) Langley's involvement with the space program. I play Pocahontas for two lines and do some chorus work in the songs.

I'm really, really impressed with the quality of this production. I've worked with Rainbow Puppets on two other shows in the past as an actress and several as a puppeteer, and they always do good stuff. But this is backed by the Jamestown 400th committee, and there are some big names behind it, both vetting on the historical end and doing some narration. I think the first 'dress rehearsal' will be at the end of this month, which I may or may not attend ... it depends on my sked, but I'll definitely go to one of the advance shows. At some point I'll try to get some pics. Pokie is just a rod puppet as far as I know (her role is appropriately small), but I'll try to get pics of her anyway.
