So right now ... unfortunately for me ... I am currently in an impressive amount of pain. The kind that wakes you up at night and actually prevents you from thinking at its worst. The kind that I always thought Dante had pegged on sowers of discord. Apparently the Eighth Circle of Hell is also for manga-ka.

Awhile back I was supposed to go in for my post-surgery annual checkup. (I've had two ... one just wasn't hardcore enough for me.) Probably due to the fact that my doctor is incredibly popular and generally doesn't ever have any appointments at all open, it seems things have sort of gone to hell between a year and a half ago and next month. So I've set up an 'emergency' appointment with a nurse practicioner for Monday. In the meantime, I'm just keeping my brain occupied (which means getting ahead on comics - a plus for you guys!), hopping myself up on painkillers, and hoping I'm not going in for Surgery #3 anytime soon. That's a bit too hardcore for me.
