I have no idea what the interstate was like (not firsthand, anyway) from work to home on Friday because I was warned off it. But taking one of the 'long ways' home gave me some insight ... it was crunched up, but most of the crunching appeared to be traffic backed up by the massive line of cars trying to get on the interstate. A clue? Apparently not to them. But at least it was an uneventful drive past there, so long as you weren't one of the people trying to get on the interstate.
Hurricane Tropical Storm Hanna ... not a lot. I heard there were some downed limbs near the g'rents, but in Williamsburg we basically had rain, noisy wind, and general gloom. In retrospect, it might've been a good time to get my groceries, simply because it seems like everyone had a spazpanic and ran away. I heard CNU was evacuated, though I have nothing to back that up. It wouldn't surprise me, though.
