So, this might be my last full day in my flat. It might not be. Don't know yet, but hopefully will by mid-afternoon. Hence my reticence to do any extreme packing (stuff I'll need any more than 24 hours from now). It's unnerving to be in a slowly-emptying apartment, especially one where I've spent more than three years. Looking forward to the new place, but there's just something ... eerie ... about seeing massive blank spots of wall and floor where they've not been for years.

I was pleased to discover more boxes and crates in my hall closet (that's the only thing -- won't have one of those anymore, which means I'm not allowed to make clutter and then hide it from myself for months at a time). Good for those last few books and DVDs that didn't fit. And big plastic tubs to shuffle clothes into.

Aw, hell. And tonight's the company CHRISTMAS dinner.

If things do go according to keikaku, I will be in the new place and reasonably ensconced by tomorrow evening. Since I'll be about five minutes from work, I can empty out a box at a time. The idea is to have the intertube/cable gentleman show up in the evening so I can get him to square everything away for me ... so the double plan is to be netted up Sunday night. If I have 'net by Monday evening (or if himself is fool enough to get me a script early enough to do it beforehand and/or over Monday lunch break -- which I don't expect of him when he's already doing this much for me), expect to see what happens at Eddie's Pizza. If not, expect to see an omake and then back on track Thursday. As my goal will be to have a real comic, that'll encourage me to make sure everything is taken care of posthaste.

Watch this all become moot. Everyone keep your fingers crossed today, yeah? Co-Writer's being incredibly generous about this (as are my hapless lifting recruits), so I'd like it to go off all right for him, too.

And if everything goes proper, not only will you have a 'real' page on Tuesday ... you won't have to listen to me blather on anymore for much longer. Maybe I'll take photos/video if things go off and then I can really bloody torture you.
