'So instead of "burger it" or "burger off," it can be "burger all"!' by Kara
All right, though. Today I will admit, once Santa shows up in the Macy's parade, that it is the holiday season. Er, Christmas season. I've been avoiding Christmas music and sales and everything for as long as possible so I don't get burned out on it. But now it is the proper time. I can start getting Christmasy -- as Christmasy as I can be, anyway -- and not feel dumb about it.
More stuff is getting moved little by little, and I'll say it's weird emptying the place out and filling up the other with everything I can carry alone. For some reason, taking things out of a room makes it seem smaller to me. Because right now I'm looking around the office, and it feels like it's shrinking a bit at a time. Unnerving while I'm in the middle of things ... but this also means I'll have a better sense of size in the new place before too long, once I've chucked a few things in and decided where things will come to rest.
Anyway. This year, Thanksgiving is at the Weird Uncle's and Auntie D's. I'll be going over to help cook, and I've been told to 'bring some DVDs to stick on' for whenever we decide to take a break. I would consider this the proper time to sneak in some Bubblegum Crisis (my uncle loves him some Blade Runner and I've gotta find some way to make up for my aunt accidentally stumbling across Eiken on TV), but that may have to wait 'til they're able to sit and read subtitles. If all else fails, it's not like I don't have good background noise.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving today. If you have been ... yes, Eiken is real.

I'm gonna let Co-Writer talk about why there's an omake, if he feels up to it. Fate is dealing nasty hands lately, that's all I'll say.
