I once had a professor named Hailey. He actually looked nothing like this, nor was he in the Professors Constantly Carrying Around a Travel Mug Club. Or the Professors Who Wear Sweater-Vests Club. This put him about as much in a minority as students who weren't a member of an a capella group.

Unfortunately, upon closer inspection - and after buying it - my video card is not a bad enough dude to save the President run City of Heroes. I believe I may have the proper one in a scrap heap in my grandfather's workshop, but I'll have to check tomorrow. The cheapest one I could get right now is about $105, and between bills and RavenCon expenses this month, that isn't happening.

You know what's stupid? I can get through the character gen screen just fine. (And yes, I cancelled billing and saved my key, so I can actually only pay for time I actually use in case I don't get it right away.) I'm more pissed at myself for misreading the system reqs, though. No fear ... I'll get it working eventually. Because I used to play it on a friend's account, and it's perfect for me. No work skills, and you can putz off for a week and not affect anything.

... you know, I think I should start begging for donations to pay for my room at RavenCon. This has me a bit worried, even with the discount. I probably have enough in savings, but ... oh, my precious savings. Future plan? Get con chairs to absolutely adore me. Either that or become a serious gold-digger. Apparently I'm 'cute.'
