It was indeed fun, and also uh ... really not the movie I thought it'd be. But I mean that in a good way. I was getting a little teary-eyed in the first ten minutes or so because, way to go movie, you found my personal insecurities and jumped up and down on them extremely effectively. I mean that was a plot point and it was great, but let's not mince words, LEGO made me cry.
As for not being the type of movie I thought it was? I ... yeah, not at all. Little signs were there that I initially wrote off as jokes, but it turned into something completely different and weirdly meaningful on a lot of levels.
Also ... uh ... I have now liked Will Ferrell in two movies total. This and The Producers. You'll, uh, see what I mean if you watch it.
Freelancers have no Saturdays, and I'm back to work. If you have been, everything is AWESOME.

So last night I finally watched The LEGO Movie, in large part because I am prepping for LEGO Dimensions but also because dammit it looked fun.
