For a nor'easter, this is pathetic. It's not even raining all that hard.

In other news, I have a new hedgehog. The poor thing had been abandoned in a shoebox on a shelf at a PetCo. Nevermind that you could give it to an associate and they would have taken and put her on the 'adoption table'

When it was discovered that she had a tumor on the side of her face, no one wanted to adopt her. Being there and having a vet with hedgehog experience, I adopted her. I'm still waiting to hear back on what the tumor actually is.

Now the thing is, there was a minor fire incident in the surgery, and the poor girl (ふいうち) suffered from some mild burns. They are healing nicely though, with no infections, and so by May she will be ready to meet her new sisters as we await the lab results on the tumor.

And now off to work in this porr excuse for a nor'easter.

I've been looking forward to the Co-Writer with the Longest Hair's first race of the season -- which was allegedly today -- but apparently not. It's not that it got rained out ... it's that no one else wants to go.

Well, I mean, except me. And a friend. And him, obviously. But I guess I can understand how going from a posse of ten billion guys from Jersey to your manga-ka and her college buddy is rather disheartening.

Pity. We were both -- well, all -- pretty hyped.

If you have been, dammit.
