'You are surrounded by armed bastards!!!' by Kara
In case there are other House-viewers on here (and I know there are), I'll keep my mouth shut. All I can say is, dayum.
Need to go pick up The Beatrice Letters after work, too, although odds are I won't be reading it tonight -- Kalibourne to draw, and it's been a few years since I used rabid overnight reading as an excuse for not doing a comic. I doubt TBL will take an overnight read, but still. I'll probably just give up my City-playing tonight in favour of it.
Now, then. Mimi, if you can't tell, is working as a waitress at a nice little neighbourhood bar and grill called Brass & Glass (yep). I think I mentioned 'tween-stories at some point that she's waitressing. It's not far from the college where she's part-timing, and I'll point out a few more things about it as time goes on. I've noticed lately that I'm extending more and more beyond cons ... that is, they're becoming plot devices rather than the only setting. Which I didn't do deliberately, but I'm personally okay with it. Might have a few people riled, because people get riled about a lot of weird stuff (*cough*seriousstorylines*cough*). A future story is going to have next to nothing to do with a con, but a lot to do with Japanese culture as it's surfacing in fandom.
No, I ain't telling.
If you have been, fake it.

One episode left of this season of Life on Mars ... I hear there's going to be a second ... and third season of House started last night. Which means I need to go pick up second season on DVD.
